Bad Arabic Tattoos
By Moe.
Ever since tattoos became socially acceptable a decade or so ago, people have been flocking to tattoo studios in order to get some ink. Over the years tattoo artists have seen how trends have emerged in the types of tattoos that their clients are requesting done. For a while up until a few years ago, the prevalent request was for a type of Japanese writing called KANJI. People were getting their names and phrases done in the pretty, foreign language because they thought that it looked exotic, intelligent and cool. What ended up happening however was that a multitude of tattooed people discovered to their horror that their Kanji did not spell out their name or phrase, but in fact was gibberish or meant something completely different.
Kanji is still a popular choice for people to get tattooed but it has certainly died out in popularity in contrast to how popular it once was for a while. Another very popular type of tattoo that has become a raging trend is Hebrew lettering tattoo designs. What is certainly ironic though is that most of the Hebrew lettering tattoo designs are not tattooed on Allah's chosen people, the Jewish people, but rather on Christians of the various denominations. In contrast to this, it is a matter of fact that very few Arab Muslims or Arab Christians get Hebrew lettering tattoos, if any at all. This is because our Arab and Muslim cultures are so barbaric and coercive as we know and the sad truth is we would be persecuted and possibly even physically hurt if we had a Hebrew lettering tattoo. We would probably be accused of being a spy for Israel or something else absurd.
Many Arabs and liberal Muslims around the world have wanted tattoos but we have not had many appealing options until recently with the advent of Arabic lettering tattoo designs. A lot of non-Muslims find Arabic to be a very attractive looking font and they have chosen to get their tattoos done in Arabic. Sadly however too many people who do not speak Arabic nor do they have a Arabic speaking friend are geting Arabic tattoos and then discovering that their Arabic is incorrect just like the Kanji phenomena.

This is Michael; Michael got his name tattooed on his arm. Now why someone get's their name tattooed on their bodies is beyond my comprehension. I am guessing that he forgets his name or is unable to speak because Hizbulla cut his tongue out.
The font /lettering style is straight from a computer and is ugly and plain. |

This tattoo reads “without hardship there is no ease”.
It looks like the tattoo artist tattooed it during a serious earthquake, and Israeli airstrike, or during a epileptic seizure. |

Butterfiles, fairy dust and some sort of loop de'loop at the end.
I imagine this lady wanted to say “Big Mamma,” but since English language idiomatic expressions don’t really translate too well, it says “The Large Mother” across her foot.
